We are incredibly delighted to share that Janie’s Mission (a non-profit organization based in San Antonio, Texas) awarded seven $250 USD scholarships to students of The English Academy Rapa Nui.
Janie’s Mission Scholars
As colleagues in a Harvard course titled Leading Schools, Mr. Perez (President of Janie’s Mission) and Miss Ziech (the Director of The English Academy Rapa Nui), exchanged experiences in how the Covid-19 pandemic had affected their school community. In learning that Rapa Nui’s island community had suffered extreme job loss, Janie’s Mission surprised our parents and students with a generous donation.
The original intention was for Janie’s Mission to provide only 1 scholarship. However, their supportive and loving spirit resulted in 6 more anonymous donors, thus taking it to a total of 7 scholarship recipients!
Not only did the Janie’s Mission scholarship help our students financially, but it provided an incredible amount of joy and happiness to our community.
